Accommodations
The villa is set within the exclusive gated development of Pantai Berawa with ample parking and Villa Kaira is entered via a 100-year-old traditional Gobiak (traditional Javanese gate). Entrance to the property is over an extended wooden walkway crossing a sprawling coy filled lake with guest villas on either side before entering the main house with its breathtaking views of the Indian ocean.
Bedrooms
Each of the five bedrooms are fully air conditioned with en-suite bathrooms with direct views over the ocean or the lake. All the floors are of traditional Merbau wood with beautiful marble bathrooms.
Master Suite
Set upstairs in the main house with its own private terrace overlooking the ocean at the front and Bali’s volcanoes at the back the master suite is styled on the world famous “Chedi Muscat Hotel” in Muscat, Oman. The master bed is modern contemporary with the finest Egyptian cottons hand made and imported. With a huge dressing area and Jacuzzi in the bathroom the master suite is the heart of luxury.
English Suite
Set downstairs in the main house is the traditional English bedroom with a hand carved English bed in traditional Edwardian style. Covered in the finest English fabrics the room opens up onto the dining terrace with views directly over the ocean. The dressing room opens into an outdoor bathroom with traditional English bathtub and outdoor shower.
Balinese Suite
Floating in the coy lake the Balinese suite is a self-contained guesthouse with a traditional four-poster bed with traditional Balinese drapes and colours. The room is completely surrounded by water with the goddess Sita watching over. The dressing room opens out into a beautiful marble bathroom with access to a private garden with rainwater shower.
Chinese Suite
Opposite the Balinese suite sits the Chinese suite floating in the Coy lake with a hand carved Chinese bed with traditional deep reds. The room features a beautiful exposed wooden ceiling with a Chinese black bathroom opening out onto a dramatic carved dragon and outdoor rainwater shower.
Temple Suite
Upstairs in the main house is the modern temple suite with it private terrace overlooking the spectacular local Balinese temple, volcanoes and cows grazing in the fields. The room features a modern stylish double bed that can be split into two single beds if required. The on-suite bathroom has a beautiful bath tub with views directly over the lake.
Dining Area/ Kitchen
The main house contains a beautiful hand carver suar wood table that comfortably seats ten guests. The table is overlooked by a dramatic Buddha stone carving and enjoys views out over the gardens and ocean.
The main house also contains a more informal dining area on the outdoor terrace that seats ten people comfortably overlooking the ocean. This is often used for breakfast to catch the refreshing morning ocean breezes.
The main house contains a huge beautiful modern kitchen with imported appliances as well as a well-stocked wine fridge, Nespresso coffee maker and ice dispenser.
Living Area
Almost the whole of the downstairs of the main house is open plan with huge sofas and chairs to relax in and watch the timeless waves crash into the beach. There is a baby grand piano eagerly waiting to be played.
Set off from the main living area is a full size snooker/ billiard room with high backed leather chairs.
At the top of the grand sweeping staircase is another huge living area with sofas and comfy leather chairs as well as a Nintendo WII if you have run out of things to occupy your days. Set off from the upstairs living area is a fully functional office with a one-piece walnut desk and printer/copier/ scanner if you need to work. (The house is fully WIFI enabled)
Set outside on the upstairs terrace is a beautiful Gazebo where you can sip a glass of wine as you watch the sun drop into the Indian Ocean.
